The skin protects us from external influences, chemical, mechanical, and thermal damage. Irresponsible behavior towards the skin, staying in the sun, and excessive exposure of the skin to UV rays without adequate protection leaves consequences that the skin remembers.
Due to direct exposure to the sun’s rays on the skin, which is the largest organ of our body, the effects are greatest and most visible, and they can be both positive and negative.
The positive effects of the sun or heliotherapy involve controlled and therapeutic exposure of the body to sunlight. It is known that the sun has, within certain limits, a distinctly healthy effect and that without heat we could not function. The sun has always been a symbol of light, warmth, and life; it plays a very important role in preserving health and enhancing vitality. Sun rays stimulate the synthesis of vitamin D, which is essential for the development and strengthening of bones, as well as in the therapy of dermatoses.
Moderate sun exposure encourages the skin to activate its own defense mechanisms, i.e., the production of the pigment melanin, whereby the skin darkens and becomes more resistant to sun rays. The desired result is a tanned complexion that reflects freshness, vitality, and health. Although it seems that our tanned skin looks almost ideal, the fact is that it requires special care after sun exposure. Regardless of whether you are tanned or not, after every sun exposure, it is necessary to assist the skin in its renewal. A great choice are lotions with a light and non-greasy texture that soothe and cool the skin and restore lost moisture.
It is essential to avoid products with artificial, synthetic ingredients that will do more harm than good, especially those containing alcohol.
The negative effects of the sun on the skin can be acute and chronic.
Uncontrolled sun exposure has been proven to be harmful; 80% of all skin damage is caused by excessive sun exposure.
Acute effects of the sun on the skin are most often burns that occur after a one-time excessive exposure to the sun. Minor sunburns are characterized by red and painful tightness of the skin that appears a few hours after excessive exposure without protective means. During the next 24 hours, pain and redness are more pronounced, and within a few days, the skin begins to peel and flake. All symptoms disappear after a week from the occurrence of the burn.
To help the skin and stimulate its recovery, it needs to be cooled with a cold compress and treated with means that will soothe, nourish, and regenerate it. Lotions and creams based on dexpanthenol are recommended, which promote epithelialization and regeneration of the epidermis, with the addition of propolis, honey, and royal jelly that prevent bacterial infections, reduce inflammation, redness, pain, and skin tension.

FARMAKOL DERMAPIP BODY LOTION is intended for daily care of sensitive, dry, inflamed, and damaged skin. Thanks to active natural ingredients: honey, panthenol, propolis, royal jelly, and marigold extract, it nourishes and deeply moisturizes the skin, giving it elasticity and velvety softness. It is ideal for alleviating redness and skin tension after sun exposure, for dry and sensitive skin as a natural aid for irritations. With its moisturizing and protective properties, it acts anti-inflammatory, alleviating dryness, flaking, and itching of the skin. Honey and royal jelly activate the skin cells’ own mechanisms that slow down aging, improve tissue regeneration, and protect skin cells from degenerative changes while deeply nourishing and moisturizing the skin. The Dermapip body lotion has a light texture, spreads easily, and absorbs quickly, containing fragrant components based on plant and natural bases that give it a pleasant and mild scent.
